Alternate Covers For Some Classic Albums
Joe Buck (AKA. ArtilleryDS) created some amazing alternate covers that I found today. They feature 7 album covers recreated in highly stylised versions. You can check more of ArtilleryDS at his site and download the rest of the covers after the break.
The covers are part of a collaboration series from ArtilleryDS, Damu and Redefinition Records called The Redefinition Series. In teaming up with Damu and Redef Records, ArtilleryDS's images will now have sound added. Damu will be remixing selected songs from the albums that he is revising art wise.
Here's Madvillain's Madvillainy cover.
Revisions Cover No 7 by Joe Buck
What I wanted to do here was capture the wild, awkward, unorthodox nature of this album. When you get Mad Lib on the beats and MF Doom on the mic there is bound to be tons of inspirational content for use in graphics. I illustrated the famous MF Doom mask adding on my swirl horns (which are a part of my W.BAU painting series), throwing in a brass knuckle crown and a set of gold fronts. I surrounded the illustration with visual excepts of Dooms lyrics all topped off with my trademark vintage 12″ album cover theme. From Rainbows to Drano this is a great album.

Download: Contracts For Selling Music

I haven't updated in a while, that's because of some personal stuff. But I'm back now hopefully. If anyone want's to co-write the blog then feel free to contact me, you'll get half the ad revenue and whatever when it starts pouring in.
I wrote this contract for my personal beat store site, that I also haven't updated in about 6 months, I want to redo it all. But maybe some of you could use these. I'm not saying it's perfect but it covers quite a lot.

Video: Digging In The Crates

Digging in the Crates aims to describe the sampling culture in all its aspects, characteristics, and influences. Not only the understanding of the creative process as a craft but also the effort and creative processes associated with sampling should be communicated authentically.
This is absolutely amazing. Click read more to see the video.
