It's been a long while since I last updated for numerous reasons that I can't be bothered to go into.
But I though I'd leave this for those who haven't seen it yet If anyone isn't subscribed to Boon Doc's YouTube channel then I recommend that you do.

The Reason Getting Feedback Sucks

A while ago, I had a look back at some of my older posts in FP's feedback section (Don't bother with it, really). All the replies were totally useless and so I've come to the following conclusion... Getting Feedback is Worthless. Hit read more to read the rest of the article.
How To Duplicate Your Old Vinyl

I saw this on another website and it's a really good read, and very interesting. It's basically how to "pirate" your own records, but it could come in handy to a lot of people.

Tutorial: All About Mud

Described for this article as that big mess of mid range frequencies that cloud up your mix. Mud is what makes your mix dull, flat and lifeless.
Maybe your hats aren't standing out or your snare keeps getting buried or your rhythm instruments can't find their way into the mix. Maybe you just want to stand out from the other cats that don't take the time to clean up their tracks. Or, for whatever reason, things just don't sound balanced.
Guess what, it happens to everyone. A good producer always wants to take the next step in learning how to get better.
So, hopefully the good people here at ISK can help get you there. These tips may be a bit basic, so I apologize if you're past this, but they're also fundamental, so a refresher never hurt. Click Read More for the rest of the post.
Guest Post: Cream Of Beats

Greetings from Detroit! Whadup Doe!! :).
I created these kits mainly from files I found on the internet. The only post processing I did was normalizing in Audacity and creating space between each file. None of my personal sounds are included but these are pretty dope. Click read more for the download and rest of the post.

How Do You Promote Yourself?

Found this article on a business website, it may not relate to music directly but there is a lot to learn from it.
1. Make a print on an old t-shirt with your company name and what you do. People tend to try and read what it says, just keep in mind that you should keep it short. A lot of text is annoying to read on something that moves. Click read more to read the rest of the article.

Download: Contracts For Selling Music

I haven't updated in a while, that's because of some personal stuff. But I'm back now hopefully. If anyone want's to co-write the blog then feel free to contact me, you'll get half the ad revenue and whatever when it starts pouring in.
I wrote this contract for my personal beat store site, that I also haven't updated in about 6 months, I want to redo it all. But maybe some of you could use these. I'm not saying it's perfect but it covers quite a lot.
